Working with David Zindell was a wonderful experience. Luckily for me, I was basically destined to be tutored by him. I say this because David had started off tutoring my brother, who is three years older than I, and later tutored my older sister. My family was very pleased with David’s work; his ability to help them drastically increased their scores. My brother appreciated his patience, and my sister appreciated his kindness. As for myself, I believe the most important trait David possessed that helped me as his student was his confidence in me.

I walked into our first session completely nervous because I was scared he would judge me on how low my ACT math score was. I remember I immediately started apologizing and saying math had never been my best subject. To my surprise, he smiled, then chuckled, then proceeded to tell me something along the lines of, “It’s okay, Haley. Throughout the years a few things you have learned have slipped through some holes but I assure you we will fill those holes.” David patiently walked me through step by step processes, and always found different ways to explain hard problems when I didn’t understand them one way.

As we got further into our sessions, I noticed a change in my attitude towards the math the section on the ACT. The attitude change caused my math score to go up and at the same time caused my other scores to go up as well. David was the first person to show as well as teach me that confidence is key to success. His teaching methods are amazing because he is able to adapt to each individual student’s learning style and successfully prepare them for the test in a way that suits them best. His teaching is extraordinary, and it definitely worked for me as well as many others.
